Chak's Chicken in Mustard Sauce
Bored with the same old chicken curry or tandoori? Need a sharp, tangy change? Look no further than this awesome chicken in mustard sauce!
Ingredients:-
6 boneless chicken breast cut into strips.
Paste of 100gms 0f Mustard seed
4 tsp ginger paste.
½ tsp Kala Jeera. (Nigella seeds)
2 Onions finely chopped.
1 cup of whisked Yogurt.
6 green chilly cut lengthwise, de-seeded.
½ cup of finely chopped Coriander leaf.
2 tsp Turmeric powder.
2 tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder.
6 tbsp Mustard oil
Salt to taste.
Preparation:-
Heat the oil in a pan and stir fry the onion till light brown. Add the ginger paste and stir fry. Add Turmeric and Mustard paste, stir well, then add the chicken strips and the cut green chilly. Mix the chicken well with the paste and stir-fry till water evaporates. Add chilly powder and stir. Add 2 cups of hot water. Add salt to taste. Cook on low heat till water evaporates and the chicken is soft and tender. Do not cover while cooking. When done garnish with chopped coriander. Serve with white Rice.
